Basquiat, Reframed

New works from the artist who changed everything. Now on skate decks.

There was before Basquiat. And there was after.

From the walls of downtown New York to the white cubes of the art world, Jean-Michel Basquiat carved a new visual language—restless, electric, alive with contradiction. He told the truth in layers: text over image, beauty over rage, crowns over chaos.

8 New Works

THE SKATEROOM is proud to present our latest collection inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat—rooted in respect for the artist’s legacy, and in a shared belief that art can be a force for real-world impact.

This new collection reimagines eight of Basquiat’s iconic works across collectible solo decks and triptychs—each one digitally printed on natural maple using museum-grade techniques.

Every item supports THE SKATEROOM’s mission to fund and grow international skate and education social  projects. When you bring a deck into your world, you’re helping reshape someone else’s.

Basquiat once said: “I don’t think about art when I’m working. I try to think about life.”

This collection is a reminder that art—and skateboarding—are both acts of life.

Jean-Michel Basquiat's “Both Poles” triptych skateboard art edition by THE SKATEROOM is displayed above a round wooden table with mid-century modern chairs. A paper lantern and warm afternoon light enhance the minimalist, artful atmosphere.
